Find the Right Security Solution

Security made simple. Start with the property and areas you want to protect; then select compatible cameras, recording and installation equipment.

Which CCTV system should you buy?

1. Smart Wi-Fi camera — easy home monitoring

Ideal for watching an indoor room, entrance or small area where there is reliable Wi-Fi. Many models support mobile-app viewing, movement alerts and optional microSD or cloud storage. Most plug-in Wi-Fi cameras still require electrical power. Always check the model's features and storage requirements.

2. HD-TVI camera + DVR — affordable wired surveillance

Good for compatible wired analogue camera systems, particularly when expanding an existing DVR installation. Check camera video standards, recorder channels, cabling and power requirements. A standalone HD-TVI camera cannot be viewed directly through a phone without a suitable recorder and configuration.

3. IP/PoE camera + NVR — scalable wired systems

Suitable for a multi-camera home, shop or commercial setup. Compatible PoE connections can carry network data and power over one Ethernet cable. Check NVR channel count, PoE power budget, protocol support, camera resolution and network installation requirements.

Don't forget the supporting equipment

Check whether your camera setup needs a surveillance hard drive or storage, networking or PoE equipment, cables and connectors, mounting accessories or backup power. Kit contents vary by model; don't assume every kit includes a hard drive, cable or installation.

Not sure what works together?

Tell us the number of cameras, preferred locations (indoor or outdoor), connectivity, desired recording time, whether you already own a DVR/NVR and your approximate budget. We'll help narrow down the equipment to check.
